Lisa Bell, a nearly 20-year resident of Nahant, is on a mission to uplift and empower women through her marketing agency RazHer Collaborative. As the co-founder and chief marketing officer, Bell has teamed up with former Nahant resident Kristen Standish to create a company focused on raising women up socially, professionally, and intellectually.
This Thursday, RazHer is kicking off the "EmpowHER Women" series, in collaboration with Off Cabot Comedy and Events in Beverly. The three-part show will feature eight talented North Shore-based female entertainers showcasing their skills in music, comedy, and more.
With over two decades of experience in public relations, Bell aims to use RazHer's platform to provide more opportunities for women. "With her being in media and me being in PR, we joined forces," Bell explained about starting the agency with Standish in fall 2021.
The "EmpowHER Women" concept resonates deeply with the performers. Comedian Kelly MacFarland expressed her enthusiasm, saying, "I'm a fan first of this, so that just ignites everything." Lynn native and opera singer Sheree Marcelle also shared her excitement, reflecting on the challenges she's faced in establishing her career and the importance of supporting women in the arts.
Off Cabot's general manager, Jackie Indrisano, emphasized that the shows are not just about celebrating women but truly empowering them. "These women are outstanding, and they need all of our support," she said.
Tickets for the inaugural "EmpowHER Women" show on June 1st are still available for $35. The series will continue on June 6th and October 3rd, providing a platform for talented local women to showcase their skills while raising awareness about the importance of empowering women in all aspects of life.
